Title

Hurtling Toward Disaster: Can Canada Right its Economic and Fiscal Course?

Details

Off the chart spending, record-high debt levels, budding inflation, uncertain interest rates, dampened business investment and a seemingly deliberate effort to strangle the country’s energy industry … at no point in Canada’s history has economic and fiscal policy been more precarious. The prime minister may believe that budgets balance themselves or that monetary policy is not important – but we beg to differ. Our panellists explore the economic and fiscal issues that have a direct impact on the country’s prosperity. The panel also looks at both the challenges and solutions expected to take centre stage as we enter 2022.
