Collaboration with Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, to develop a financial framework for sustainable indigenous economic participation in major infrastructure projects. The Indigenous Infrastructure Investment Trust (3IT) model was selected by Boston Consulting Group as a Top Ten Idea for an invited presentation at the national Transformational Infrastructure Summit in Toronto to a select audience including the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Industry and Finance CEO’s and Indigenous Stakeholders.

First Nations Economic Advancement Conference Toronto 2018

Collaboration with Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto to present the Indigenous Infrastructure Investment Trust (3IT) framework for sustainable indigenous economic participation in major infrastructure projects to OFNEDA’s annual gathering of Ontario First Nations in Toronto.

United Arab Emirates, Ministry of Energy & Industry UAE 2018

Advisory engagement by the Office of the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates to conduct a strategic panel review and deliver a report with recommendations regarding the energy, infrastructure and environmental initiatives of the Ministry of Energy & Industry.

Forward Summit on Indigenous Economic Engagement Calgary 2019

Coordination of, and participation in, a panel presentation at the Forward Summit on Indigenous Economic Engagement in Calgary regarding sustainable indigenous economic participation in major projects in a Canadian infrastructure corridor, including engagement with international engineering partners and attraction of capital. Panelists included Preston Manning, the Vice President of China Railway First Survey & Design Institute (international engineers for the Ontario Ring of Fire railway route) the Managing Director of Animus Capital Partners, and the Chief of Missanabie Cree First Nation (holder of the Transport Canada operator certificate for the Algoma Central Railway).

Collaboration with former Prime Minister The Right Honourable Paul Martin and Brett Wilson on an indigenous entrepreneurship keynote presentation highlighting the Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneurship Program developed and delivered by The Martin Family Initiative foundation to more than 5000 aboriginal students across Canada.

Treaty 7 First Nations Chiefs Association Calgary 2019

Coordination of a relationship building initiative between the Treaty 7 First Nations Chiefs and China, including facilitating invited indigenous participation in formal diplomatic engagement events, arrangement of a private dinner with the Treaty 7 Chiefs and the Chinese Consul-General at the Chinese Consulate in Calgary, and a guided tour of the Treaty 7 Elbow River Village camp for a group of Chinese Consulate representatives.

Global Petroleum Show Calgary 2019

Coordination of, and participation in, a panel presentation at the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary regarding the financial implications of oilsands reserves being devalued as uneconomic stranded assets due to accounting rules governing the calculation, recognition and disclosure of liabilities for future CO2 emissions management costs.  Panelists included the former CEO of Siemens Canada, a representative of the Alberta Securities Commission and the Managing Director of Animus Capital Partners.
