As Chief Editorial Writer at La Presse, then as a Senator, André has been deeply involved in the energy file, especial the oil and gas industry. As an Editorialist, he was one of the first public figures in Québec to take a stand in favor of Energy East. As a Senator, he pushed for major amendments to bills C-48 and C-69.
The Canada Strong and Free Network (formerly the Manning Centre) was founded in 2005 to support Canada’s conservative movement by networking best practices and ideas pertaining to limited government, free enterprise, individual responsibility and a more robust civil society.
