Andrea works with governments at all levels on policies that empower the low-carbon economy of today and tomorrow. A recognized industry and legislative policy expert, she often speaks across Canada and worldwide on the importance of renewable fuels and environmental technologies in the modern economy. Her writing has appeared in numerous industry and national publications.
Andrea is the Vice President, Industry and Government Affairs at Greenfield Global, Canada’s leading ethanol producer. In this role, she works with government and industry leaders and stakeholders to shape public policies that promote renewable fuels, foster innovation, and support low-carbon products and technologies. Andrea joined Greenfield Global in 2017 and has worked in the company’s Corporate and Renewable Energy business units. Prior to her current role, Andrea held the role of Vice President Communications and Public Affairs.
Before joining Greenfield, Andrea served as President of Renewable Industries Canada (RICanada), the premier biofuel industry association in Canada. Under her leadership, RICanada helped shape innovative and sound government policies for renewable fuel blending requirements in some of the country’s largest liquid transportation fuel markets. Andrea remains an active Board member of RICanada and sits on various government clean fuel working groups and strategic steering committees.
Andrea began her career with the Government of Canada and worked in senior policy and communications roles for ministers on Parliament Hill and several federal departments and Crown corporations. She lives in Ottawa (albeit reluctantly during the winter) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Windsor.
