Bruce McAllister

Bruce McAllister is a communicator and a connector. He is a former MLA and journalist. He ran in the 2012 election for Danielle Smith and the Wildrose Party and was elected in the riding of Chestermere – Rocky View. He served as the education critic and Deputy Whip and was instrumental in pushing back against discovery math and educational fads and pushed hard for the fundamentals to be part of the Alberta curriculum. Prior to his term in office, Bruce spent 20 years as a journalist, the last 8 as Host of the Morning News on Global Calgary. Bruce currently runs his own public affairs and communications company called RIGHT ANGLE COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSULTING. He is also the Executive Director of Rocky View 2020 which is a pro-business, landowner advocacy group in the Calgary Region. He frequently writes columns on issues from a conservative bent that are published in local newspapers. Bruce and his wife Lisa have been married for 20 years and have 3 children.
