Tim McMillan is a partner at Garrison Strategy. As former President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) from 2014 to 2022 he steered the industry through a period of volatile commodity prices, along with significant challenges posed by legislative and regulatory issues at all levels of government in Canada.

Before CAPP, McMillan held various ministerial portfolios in the Saskatchewan Government, including Energy and Resources, Crown Investment Corporation, Tourism, and others where he focused on leveraging the province’s strengths in order to grow its economy and increase its profile within the country and globally.

In 2023, McMillan co-founded Garrison Strategy, leveraging his public policy, regulation, advocacy and communications expertise on behalf of clients. Beyond his professional endeavors, he contributes to various non-profit boards, aiming to strengthen Canada.
