Veteran broadcaster and journalist, Marc Patrone has three decades experience in TV News, Radio and online media and currently hosts The Marc Patrone Radio Program on Sauga960am in the GTA. As a former political reporter for CTV Atlantic and Sun News, Marc has covered electoral races, leadership contests, scandals, resignations, comebacks, and flip- flops [to name a few]. In 2008, Marc was appointed to the post of CRTC Commissioner by the Harper government for a five-year term. He chaired public hearings, was involved in awarding numerous broadcast licences and was involved in key regulatory decisions including the Shaw Communications purchase of Global TV. He has authored four dissenting opinions with the CRTC. He later was hired as Director of Western Operations for Sun News Network. Marc also was managing editor of the Peel Weekly News. A GTA native, Marc has lived in five provinces, giving him a strong sense of what it means to be Canadian throughout the country. His current program, The Marc Patrone Show, is both hard-hitting and politically charged, making it an informative morning fixture on Sauga 960 AM. He married and has two grown children.
