Matthew Spoke is a real estate entrepreneur. His company – Toronto Standard – develops high rise and mid rise properties, with a primary focus on rental housing. As such, Matt spends a lot of time focused on housing policy, advocating at the Municipal, Provincial, and Federal levels of government for common sense supply-side policies to end the housing crisis.

Prior to his time in real estate development, Matt spent 10 years as a tech entrepreneur. He built 3 software companies and raised tens of millions of dollars in the venture capital industry. Matt is a contributor to the Hub on topics ranging from housing to innovation and entrepreneurship.

At home Matt is the father of three boys and husband to his wife Jennifer, an entrepreneur and owner of a french preschool in Toronto.
