Shawn Fried is the Director of Business Development and Corporate Affairs at Medicom Group Inc., a Canadian headquartered global manufacturer and distributor of infection control products. At Medicom he works hard to make the world a safer and healthier place, ensuring frontline health-care workers have the protection to do their jobs. Since Covid-19, he advocates to enhance supply chain resiliency through reshoring manufacturing when it is in the national interest to do so.

Prior to Medicom, Shawn worked in a number of roles at the Federal government of Canada. During his time in the federal public service, he worked at Finance Canada, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada, Canada’s Treasury Board Secretariate, and Justice Canada. Shawn articled under Canada’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. He is currently a member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Shawn is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Oxford University, and the University of Western Ontario. He is the author of medical publications in the field of teratology and holds medical device patents.
