Tasha Kheiriddin is a public affairs consultant, political commentator, writer and speaker based in Toronto. She is a principal with Navigator Ltd., Canada’s leading high stakes strategic advisory and communications firm, as well as the Vice President of the Canadian Centre for the Purpose of the Corporation.
Named one of Canada’s “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” for her work in media and communications in 2016, her career in media spans two decades, as host of the daily radio program The Tasha Kheiriddin Show on Global News Radio in Toronto, a host with CTV NewsChannel, a member of the editorial board and columnist at the National Post, a columnist at iPolitics.ca, a producer with CBC Newsworld, and an award-winning host-producer at the Cable Public Affairs Channel. She was also a political analyst for Radio Canada for nine years and she continues to comment on both Radio Canada and CBC News Network.
A Montreal native, Tasha graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in 1988 and from the law faculty of McGill University in 1993. She practiced litigation in Montreal for several years before moving to Toronto to work as the legislative assistant to the Attorney General of Ontario. Tasha also engaged in politics with the federal Progressive Conservative Party for over a decade, working in the offices of the Minister of Employment and immigration, and serving as national President of the PC Youth Federation from 1994 to 1997.
Tasha has also worked for several notable Canadian think tanks and advocacy groups. From 2004 to 2006 she served as the Ontario director for the Canadian Taxpayers; in 2006 as Vice-President of the Montreal Economic Institute; and from 2007 to 2009 as Director for Quebec of the Fraser Institute. In recognition of her influence on economic affairs, Tasha was awarded the Economic Education Prize from the MEI in 2012.
Tasha is also an accomplished author. In 2005 she co-wrote the bestseller, Rescuing Canada’s Right: Blueprint for a Conservative Revolution. She has contributed chapters on tax policy and justice to two other books, How To Cut Public Spending (and still win an election), and The Harper Factor: Assessing a Prime Minister’s Policy Legacy.
Tasha has also contributed to academia. From 2006 to 2009, Tasha lectured on conservative politics at McGill University, and has also subsequently delivered guest lectures in Social Sciences at Concordia University. She now lectures at the Max Bell School of Public Policy at McGill.
From 2006 to 2016, Tasha also served as President of TJK Communications, providing writing, editing and communications services. In 2019 she founded Ellipsum Public Affairs, specializing in media training, writing, editing, and message management.
Tasha has also experience in the boardroom. She has served on the board of the Old Port of Montreal, the University Club of Montreal, the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, Apathy is Boring, Resources for Exceptional Children and Youth, and is currently on the Advisory Board of CANFund, a charity which helps Olympic athletes achieve their dreams.
Finally, due to her wide range of professional accomplishments and experiences, Tasha is an in-demand speaker. She regularly delivers keynotes and panel presentations on political and public affairs issues, has presented a TedX talk on autism and children (an issue dear to her heart), and emcees conferences for organizations ranging from the National Mortgage Brokers’ Association to the International Association of Language Commissioners.
