As general manager of Alberta Central and South with TELUS, Theresa’s responsibilities include oversight of daily field operations, regional community investment, and municipal relations across her large and diverse region. With over 85,000 rural customer interactions completed by her team annually, and a rural resident herself, Theresa is a passionate voice for rural prosperity and investment.
Theresa was raised in northern Saskatchewan, and following high school moved to Calgary where she studied computer science and business operations. After relocating to the Red Deer area in 2008, she joined the TELUS team and found her a place where passion for giving back to the community, embracing technology, and being true to her rural roots could flourish. As a senior leader at TELUS, Theresa represents the rural markets across her region, and participates as a strategic leader in multiple streams of effort across TELUS including rural and indigenous connectivity programs.
The recipient of two Hero awards by the Alberta provincial government, one for her involvement with the Fort McMurray wildfires and one for her community support during the Southern Alberta Floods and several Women in Leadership accolades, Theresa believes strongly that to do well in business we must create healthy and prosperous communities. She currently is involved with two non-profit organizations in the Red Deer region; and is chairperson for the TELUS Community Ambassadors of Central Alberta, a volunteer organization she helped establish a decade ago.
